IRISH SETTER ENERG Boots

By Allan R. Smith

When Irish Setter reached out to us to try out the ENERG boots, how do you say no? We received the boots around the start of Winter and with a large homestead, we were anxious to break them in and see how long they would last.

Right away I was surprised by the look and feel of them. Testing in in temperatures from the low 30 F. to well into the beginning 90’s F. and my feet felt cooler than I originally expected. The lightweight build made them great for everyday wear and even quite comfortable when running into town for supplies. One of the best things about these boots is the build in “Scent Ban” that controls orders.

The sole of the boots had great traction that made scaling muddy hills not a slipping folly.  The aggressive traction that extends up the sides of the boot and toe allows more “digging in” ability when navigating up and down steep hills or manure fields.

With streams on the property, these waterproof boots did great.  However, being overly cautious, I chose to spray a waterproof sealant as an extra layer of protection and they performed perfectly.

I wish we could find a negative, however, they are absolutely well built and super comfortable. After almost a year of wearing them, they still have good soles and are in solid condition for all they have been through.
