I generally carry my Smith & Wesson M&P 9 in my purse or backpack, however, as a female there are times I just don’t feel like carrying my bag. The women reading this know that depending on the venue, date night, etc. it may not be comfortable or convenient having a purse that day. So, I have been on the search for a compact, universal holster that I can use when leaving my purse behind.
Enter the Alien Gear Grip Tuck Universal Holster!
I was stoked when Alien Gear sent us this holster for review. However, for those that know us at Epic Tactical, we just don’t get and immediately post great reviews. We hold and test before writing to find any flaws there may be. So with that said, we have had the holster for several weeks now and the first thing I noticed was the soft texture and the flexibility of the neoprene holster, making it compact when not in use, but still sturdy enough to not leave the trigger vulnerable. The smooth outer material had enough “grippiness” if you will, to hold it in place, but still smooth enough to not irritate the skin. The IWB option made it perfect for concealment.
This holster has a plastic belt clip with 3 holes so you can adjust the ride height and carry angle. This made it great for my husband and I to both be able to use this holster.
It is universal so it fits many different guns with similar profiles instead of needing to have a separate holster for every gun. It is also available in many sizes.
It has held up to the wear and tear of daily use by both of us and we found it to be very comfortable. As former law enforcement officers, this would be a great UC carry holster and one we highly recommend.
Lastly, It is easily hand washed and on the website is states that it can be machine washed and dried, although we haven’t gotten to that point yet, we look forward to more time with this great holster.
