090612 – Atlanta police SWAT members head back to their command post after the suspect surrendered Friday. The Atlanta police SWAT team was called to an apartment in southwest Atlant, Georgia Friday morning, June 12, 2009 following a shooting in West End. According to police dispatchers, the victim, who had been shot in the leg, was found shortly before 7 a.m. in the 1200 block of Donnelly Avenue. A suspect in the shooting was believed to still be inside a nearby apartment just before 8:30. Police had blocked Donnelly Avenue between Cascade Road and Beecher Street. John Spink/jspink@ajc.com
