Sturm, Ruger & Co. announced today that it would open a new factory in Rockingham County, NC. Details are still emerging about what type of gun will be made at the new facility but some news sources are reporting that the factory will produce “new gun models that have not yet been announced”.
The plant is expected to employ more than 470 workers in Rockingham County, where the unemployment rate is 10.3 percent. Sturm, Ruger could receive more than $9 million in state tax breaks, plus local incentives.

We will keep you updated with details as they emerge. My question is when will they announce the new product, if there is in fact a new Ruger product coming.
