FN America announced the FN FNS Compact 9mm at SHOT 2015. The FN FNS Compact is said to have the new striker-fire system that is in the full size FNS. The FN FNS Company has a 3.6″ barrel and shorter frame, ambidextrous including mag release, slide lock and safety. Like many handguns now the FNS Compact comes with changeable backstraps to change the frame size.
The 9mm magazine holds 12 rounds and comes with a finger baseplate. There is also a 17 round magazine that comes with a plastic collar that fits to the frame giving a seamless grip.
